Our Initiatives
In today’s fast-changing world, it is more important than ever to provide young people with opportunities to develop as creative, curious, caring, and collaborative learners.
Fiddlehead is growing a network of educators, designers, parents, and policymakers to share ideas and strategies for making learning more motivating, memorable, and meaningful.
Our work builds on decades of research focused on the Four P’s of Creative Learning: expanding opportunities for young people to work on projects, based on their passions, in collaboration with peers, in a playful spirit.
Our initiatives are designed to spark insight and delight, providing opportunities for children to explore the wonders of the world and develop their curiosity and creativity.
Tinkering Together An online exchange of stories and examples highlighting how educators around the world are engaging young people in personally meaningful and culturally relevant learning experiences.
OctoStudio A creative coding app that engages children in creating interactive animations and games, developed in collaboration with the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab.
Creative Learning Festivals Community-based celebrations where children, families, and educators engage in explorations and conversations at the intersection of curiosity and creativity.
